The Voyage of the James Caird

This engraving was my contribution to a commission for a group engraving project to celebrate the 400th anniversary of Dulwich College, to explore its heritage. Ernest Shackleton was a former Dulwich pupil and after his astonishing voyage from the Antarctic to South Georgia to find help to rescue the rest of the crew stranded on Elephant Island after the sinking of the Endurance, this boat, the James Caird, was finally brought back to England where it is on display at the College.

Greetings cards from Mistletoe House
